We don't tend to play hoofball. He has spent some of the time warming our bench instead.
Basically he has learnt nothing from his time from us, other than how an awful manager runs a team into the ground. Our chairman invested hundreds of thousands of pounds in sport science technology and personnel, from his first love, Wigan rugby then we have the worst injury crisis for years, thanks to chris wilders training regime.
From a bha perspective it was massively important he was brought back, out of wilders clutches.

Is your view of Wilder generally held amongst Oxford fans? Is he hated and wanted 'out' by a majority?

I think he was warming the bench at Oxford yesterday - get him back with us.

Is your view of Wilder generally held amongst Oxford fans? Is he hated and wanted 'out' by a majority?

Around 80% want hime to go, most for the last month or two. Other managers have gone for far less this season. We have a chairman who doesn't give a flying f*** what happens to us.

We've gone from an average attendance last season of around 7000, to averaging now around 5200.
The sooner he goes the better.

I was at morecambe v oxford yesterday (morecambe being my other 'love') which was a truly woeful affair. JFC was an unused sub and quite frankly I was perplexed as to why with the lack if quality Oxford showed!

He can't be learning much there I'd rather see him training day in day out with the development squad with the odd place on our bench. Saying all this maybe league 2 is the wrong place for him as a lot of the stuff isn't easy on the eye but it should definitely improve the physical side of his game

Looks like Gus is learning and admitting letting JFC go out on loan was another monumental fcuk up,he will have learnt sweet fa haveing the ball hoofed over his head for 90 minutes,just hope he still as good as he was before the loan spell.Will Gus go the whole hog and let McSmudger go to Norwich and put Barnes out on loan, i doubt it

I live near Oxford so am able to follow JFC's fortunes more closely. Oxford may be in League 2 but they do try to play football so suggesting they are a hoofball team is not really fair. My mates (mainly the postman and son-in-law's father) who see him quiite often are impressed with JFC - they say he is technicallly good and they would like to keep him. However, he has not been a regular pick and is often on the bench. Long shot to suggest he could come back in January and go straight into the first team. Gus will, however, be in a better position to judge whether he can cut the mustard at Championship level. He has also had quite a few injuries while with the team from the town of dreaming of the spires.

Strangely someone on our main noticeboard has said a deal has been done for him to go to Gillingham, for the next 5 months of the season.

The thing is I'd rather jfc coming off are bench when we need a goal rather than Hammond. He is a better option especially with Vicente being injured for the last 4 months.

He looked plenty good enough to play in the 1st team when he scored the opening goal in our 3-0 drubbing of stains ending our disastrous run of form at the time,you worry me if you say he is a worse player for his Oxford experience, although i will not be surprised ,realy do hope Guses stubborn streak has not destroyed a promising young mans career

Gus can't have it all ways. last year he said young players would not get on the bench because of the 5 sub rule. 7 subs gets reinstated and he either loans them out or still does'nt put them on the bench.

If his six months at Oxford have taught him a few things, if he's matured some more as a person, then how the fcuk does that represent a monumental fcuk up?
It can't have done him any harm - and if he comes back for the second half of the season when injuries and suspensions may give him a role to play in the first team, that sounds fine to me.

Does anyone watch league 2 football it is pretty physical. I think the lower leagues are always useful for developing players because it improves their strength and it will give him useful experience because although we play pretty football opposition frequently dont, they play hoofball and can be quite dirty. You have to learn how to play against the less attractive side of the game to become a fuller and more rounded player, i mean how many games last season did we struggle away because the pitch was terrible? I cannot wait to see jfc play for us again, really proud of his effort at Oxford and i see bright things in his future.

JFC will also be geting sound advice from Nicky Forster regarding his career path. I doubt whether Gus was solely responsible for the loan decision.
