I'm assuming everyone on here is making their sound judgment on a single subs appearance against Stoke or simply from reading everyone's opinions on NSC. Maybe he's just not actually good enough? Just an idea why he's nowhere near the first team.
Nah, I'm also judging him on a sub appearance againt Yeovil. :)

Boys playing against boys you mean.

If you want or the fact he held his own playing with the best young players in the country against some of the best young players in the world.

And glad he proved a lot of people wrong on here that he wasn't ready or he was too young.

And I was one of those who is pleased to say he was wrong, I thought he would just get bullied last night. I guess you only need to look at Jack Wilshere, he holds his own in the Prem and he has a small frame but the technical ability.

I just hope we dont start playing him very game, gently ease him in.

Good enough then old enough

Hope he can keep the standard.

Could have a real gem on our hands

I thought he was purely a defensive midfielder so was great to see him yesterday getting up and down

I've been absolutely baffled by GP decision not to give him a game until yesterday, especially with Vicente's ongoing absence. I was beginning to think it must have something to do with JFC not being a fluent Spanish speaker tbh, although a little bird told me that Gus isn't enamored by young Jake's cocky/arrogant attitude. I don't know what the kid's like meself, but it's patently obvious that he's one helluva player already & deserved a go in the side. Let's face it - if he is actually is 'cocky', he sure as Hell wouldn't be the first young lad or Footballer to show such traits...

Well he had his hand forced yesterday and I wouldn't be surprised if he came under a bit of lobbying either given his previous decisions to play Harley irrespective of performance. Whatever the reason JFC got his run out and acquitted himself magnificently. It also allowed Sparrow to play further up than at any other time I've seen this season and we looked a much more fluid side overall (I liked the two wingers too)

On top of that both Cook and Hall really did the business

Gives Gus something to think about. Hope he's not too stubborn and gives some of this obvious talent a fair opportunity.

I think with all good players they just give them self that second extra on the ball, that's why I couldn't understand why he hasn't has more chances because I'd say jakes biggest asset is his ball retention , which we all know that's what gus bases his play on.
