I doubt the club would be too pleased if this were really so. And why would we sell one of our young stars to Saints, one of our main rivals next year?

And anyway, I have it on good authority that Knowone is the cousin of Nwankwo (Kanu) and will definitely sign for us - apparently he is only 17 but looks, and has the physique, of a 30 year old. Strange that?

A promising youth international 17 year old who has 2 years left to run on a recently signed contract would not be cheap at all. Unless Southampton/whoever else are ready to offer us a substantial amount of money, there's no way this will happen.

Situation with Villa and Arsenal (not sure where Liverpool came from) was different he was a youth player not under contract and could have signed for anyone with compo going to us. Since he turned 17 and signed a deal all dealing would have to go through the club and why would they sell an England youth international
