Former scholar Nathan Jenkins is leaving newly-promoted Eastbourne Town to attend Hartpury University. Jenkins received dispensation from the Premier League in 2019-20 (his 1st-year scholar season) to play "down" a year for the U-16s as his physical development had not matched his technical development. He left the Seagulls in the summer of 2021, made a handful of appearances for Hastings United (and one for Eastbourne United), and spent last season with first Polegate Town and then Eastbourne Town, helping them achieve promotion.

Blimey, that's the first time I've seen any mention of Polegate football club anywhere for ages! I used to enjoy watching them on the Rec back in the fifties - do they still wear that Melchester Rovers' red and yellow kit?

James Furlong - LB who had a decent loan at Motherwell, and then signed permanently for Hull, but never played a League match for them - has moved to MK Dons on a free, where he can link up with Tom McGill.
He hasn't - he's joined AFC Wimbledon on a season-long loan. :lolol:

Copied and pasted in case the sneaky blighters go in and correct it!
"29 July
Premier League
Riccardo Calafiori [Bologna - Arsenal] £42m
English Football League
James Furlong [Hull - AFC Wimbledon] Free
"

(although yes, if you click on the link - as I have now done after reading your post - TBF it does state 'loan' there!)

Still only 19 - his career seems to have divebombed to National League level rather quickly. He was pretty handy in PL2, wasn't he?

Must be one of the few French teams with a bit of money left, then! Stoke City's loss! They had a back three worthy of writing a song about - then f***ed it up.
