Eastbourne Borough have just signed Stefan Vukoje.

Not the only ex Albion player to have signed since Beard has taken over.

Interestingly, with the new owners, Eastbourne Borough have gone to a ‘data lead approach so you’d imagine Mark will be a very good appointment. Will be watching out for their results to see how they get on as Danny Bloor had done a very decent job before being binned by the new owner

Leyton Orient manager post match last night, “we are close to signing a defender, someone we know well”

Thought to be Ed Turns. Makes a lot of sense as his next step up, after their promotion last season.

Although not Albion related Charlie Wellens is the son of Orient boss Richie Wellens. Drawing some career parallels both came through the Man Utd academy and both were released at 20.

Former Albion player on the move, but in management.

Andy Whing left Brighton to go to Leyton Orient under Slade, then onto Oxford.
Whilst at Oxford, he started coaching their youth team., likewise with Kidderminster. He met up with Slade again at Hereford.
In 2020, he became manager of Banbury, getting them promoted to National League North.
He resigned a couple of months ago, and is now the new manager of Solihull Moors in the National League.
Whingy won Vanarama Manager of the Month, with Solihull Moors sitting 3rd in the division.

.....and thoroughly enjoyable it was too! I had never really heard of this Scottish Challenge Cup competition before - but what a splendid idea! Smaller clubs from all the nations (even the English!) in the British Isles getting the chance to play foreign(ish) opposition and travel to destinations they wouldn't normally travel to.

Shame we didn't think of it first and maybe combine the Scottish and English League cups to make it more interesting.
