Help me out here, please. I'm racking my brains thinking of great classic songs that seem to have drifted into obscurity.

I'm thinking:

McAlmont & Butler - Yes
[yt]jwp0G9LVuAY[/yt]

and thinking:

UB40 - One in Ten
[yt]lvcaxumeiKc[/yt]

Hazel O'Connor - Will You
and thinking:

[yt]InQxghlWMWM[/yt]

There's no place for Bohemian Rhapsody, Whiter Shade of Pale or Ooh Stick You in this thread - just those tunes that you no-one ever plays nowadays.

Hazel O'Connor tune not forgotten & amazing.

UB40 boring brummies, drone voice of lead singer & hypocrites.

PMB, Thanks for posting Will You - I'd completely forgotten what a great song that is. Fantastic lyrics - must be one of the first pop songs to explore female sexuality.

May get abused for this on here, but IMHO Just Be Good To Me by The SOS Bnad was way cooler than Norm's Dub Be Good To Me, I only ever hear that here when I get out the vinyl, similarly Love Song by Simple Minds, Smalltown Boy by Bronski Beat, and the awesome dancefloor anthem Bustin' Out by Material - all 4 of these "lost classics" had 'em bopping away last Saturday.

And proof that both Slade and Sweet didn't just produce 'Poppy' Glam rock stuff, they could both get loud 'n heavy as well.

Anybody got a link to "I'm Walking Backwards for Christmas" by the Goons? Tried to get it played on Seahaven FM recently but they couldn't find it....:(:(
