[Albion] Forest - what to do?

The big selections will be full back. Estupian was awful at Fulham so I’d stick with Igor. Veltman seems an inert force these days but might be more solid than Lamptey at RB, who you could play further forward. Baleba and Gross in middle, Fati and Welbeck up front. Obvs Adingra on left and then pray for some luck

Huge match for our own confidence and pride IMHO. We’re on the back of four poor games (would be four defeats bar Dunk’s late equaliser against Everton), the players need a performance and we need to get behind them big time.

Best XI available both Sunday and Thursday, we have a long gap after that between games.

Got to put out our strongest side vs Forest and try and keep our excellent home record going.

Forest looked very good against Liverpool and will be pumped up needing points to stay in the PL so a very tough game for us.

At this point in time I’d take a scrappy 1-0 win against Forest on Sunday (never thought I’d say that a couple of months ago) and move on. The league position is now our priority and a must win game that I don’t believe will be at all easy!! Keep the faith and hope for that bit of luck👍

I'm convinced that if we were within 2 goals of Roma then RDZ would be rotating heavily on Sunday, but what to do now? Do you rest players Sunday for a 100/1 shot at a Thursday miracle, or go strong v Forest and know you'll need to rest a few on Thursday, effectively chucking in the towel.

7th feels more achievable than EL R8 right now to me, but......
You put a strong side out and beat the shit out of Forest. That’s what you do.

…………..….. Verbruggen ………………

Veltman .. van Hecke .. Dunk .. Estupiñan

………….. Baleba …. Gilmour…………..

Enciso ………..…Groß..……..… Adingra

………………… Welbeck …………………

Ferguson to come on for Welbeck for the last 30m

Buonanotte to come on for Groß for some minutes when the game allows

Lamptey and Barco to provide fresh legs at LB or RB

Igor to come on for one of the CBs when the game allows

Moder for one of the CMs

Fati can come on for Enciso or Aringra if they’re tired
6 subs is a remarkable way to get yourself a points deduction.

Forest are surely coming to come out attacking against us: they know we’ll be fragile and that an early goal might turn the crowd a bit (at least everyone will groan and say “not again”). So a team that can counter that early on is the priority, then attacking.

Strongest possible 11
Go right at them get the 3 points
Will it happen? No chance it will be a slow boring affair
Forest victory or low score draw
If I’m wrong I will be straight on to apologise but of late we have been really poor

Drop Steele, pick Gross in CM alongside Baleba and play 4 at the back with Pervis at LB. Ferguson through the middle and feed him.

Let's smash the granny out of the timewasting snides.

Whilst we have been playing really poorly and havent deserved much, surely, surely we are due a bit of luck. A ball not hitting the post, a tight VAR call going in our favour, a lucky bobble, the ball going in off Ferguson's arse - anything just to change the momentum. Maybe Forest is the one.
