What went wrong at Leicester? Good manager and players and they at dire - why?

They’ve had some injury problems.
Justin and Pereira only just coming back from injury
Evans, Fofana, Castagne, Bertrand, Vardy and Schmiechel out.
But they do seem off the boil and their central defence is woeful at the moment.

Am I being overly paranoid to be nervous that Leicester sack Rodgers. Leicester seems one of the few jobs that might fit Potter well, and might tempt him.
I used to think that but things move on and now there is absolutely nothing Potter could achieve at Leicester that he can't achieve at Brighton. We'd possibly have to give him a payrise though.

One of my best friends has been the club doctor for over 20 years. He's been saying for the last 2 years that they have too many pussies. Maybe it's the "you need seven" thing? How many do they have?

Certainly seem to have lost team spirit - more individuals who think they are the creme de la creme - and maybe they aren’t

Lots of injuries, aging key players like Evans and Vardy, couple of underwhelming transfer windows... not sure its all about Rodgers really, they may well be returning to something slightly more "normal" by their measures.

How many of these players were playing in Hughton days

9, Davis and Cook arrived in January.

I've half a mind to go back and find the quote where you told me Cooper was a boring manager. I know you would if if was the other way round,.

Sure, do it. I dont like his style of football and even if the slapped Leicester today I dont think his brand of football would work out in the PL. Perfect for Championship though.

Except they beat a regular top ten PL side 4-1

You don’t like good old fashioned blood and thunder British football then.

Must confess good as Forest were the quality of football was light years away from Potterball. Just a shame that we can’t add some of the Forest “go for the jugular” approach they seem to have to our slick passing. Say what you like Cooper has instigated a mega turnaround from an Albion legend’s dreadful failure there

Point of interest, have you ever watched Wimbledon’s time in the top division when they steamrollered better and far more skilful sides. They even won the FA Cup

Yeah he likes a very direct football, quite traditional. It worked well today but I think over a season that kind of football would struggle in the Premier League, it is too predictable in the long run. But in the Championship it works quite well and he could probably take Nottingham to the PL. With Swansea he had a very strong first eleven but the squad lacked depth, in Nottingham I dont think he really has that issue.

And nope, didnt watch Wimbledon (my dad was a fan though) as I was too young but I struggle to see that happening again.

Forest played great football today. The only goal from a long ball was Leicester's.

Forest did look good today and the lad on loan from Boro Spence looked immense

I’d love us to get him. Lamptey does not have much of a long term future with us because a Big Six will eventually pay Tony the £50+ and take him off us. In the meantime, grooming Spence as his back up (instead of Offiah) might be prudent?
