This is one of the great things about NSC, its all about opinions, Ernest is one of the most clued up people on here but on this occasion I have to disagree with him.

I am not an Adams apologist, and it would be stupid to say that everything was rosy because its not. The job he took on back in May was, and still is a big one which won't all come right overnight.

He has made mistakes, he would the first to admit that, but rather than slaughtering the bloke week in week out has anyone sat back and looked at the size of the task?

If I'm wrong I'm sure to get shot down I know, but I still think he will turn things around but his job is a long term one, the last time he was here he had a mass l clearout within weeks, this time its will take longer, and I certainly don't think we will go down this season that is unless DK sacks him now as that in my opinion would guarantee relegation.

I don't understand why you keep on about this being such a big job building the team ? We had a team on the way up with a promising manager who was sawn off at the knees because we have an interfering old twat for a chairman.
The reason Adams is being slaughtered on here week in week out is because of the shit being dished up week in and week out and I think you can say with players fighting amongst each other on the pitch that the team spirit is next to zero.

Nice reply Harty. But I have sat back & looked at the size of the task that Micky has taken on & in my opinion it's a bloody site bigger now than when he took over wilkins team in the summer.

Harty we were a team that in May finished 7th - no papering over the cracks as you put it - Dean did an excellent job with a lot less budget than Micky has had - How can you continue to defend Micky - the team we had never needed building it just needed adding too - we will never know where Dean would have got us this season - Dick never gave him the chance he was too busy stabbing him in the back - Any other manager would have been sacked by now but because its Micky we are lumbered - Dick Knight should do the decent thing and go - For all the good he has done in the past he undone it all back in May - Due to what he did he lost 2 loyal people to the club - Dean Wilkins and Ian Chapman - all i can say is I don't for one mimute believe that Dean and Ian are laughing at what is happening - It must break their hearts to see the club they love and all their hard work and commitment being poured down the drain by what Dick has done.

Some people say that it was a board decision to sack Dean but as the words from Dick himself were " I felt and the board agreed with me" Dick instigated this mess the best thing he could do is go and take Micky Dean White and Bob Booker with him.

The job he took on back in May was, and still is a big one which won't all come right overnight.

Back in May he had a decent little squad. IT had a few weaknesses that Dean Wilkins patched up and got us to 7th. Micky's job was not a particularly big one, he just had to continue the development of the young players, and get replacements, either temporary or loan signings, for the loanees Wilkins used to compensate our weaknesses. Not the big job you are making out.

One of the strikes many people put against Wilkins was that he had no contacts and wouldn't be able to attract the right players that we needed. He did just that, the experienced and connected Adams has tried and tried and keeps bringing in people who do not really add to our squad.

the last time he was here he had a mass l clearout within weeks, this time its will take longer,

He was announced in May, according to rumours he was courted as early as March. He had plenty of time to assess the team, research the matches he didn't see, and have a good clear out in the summer. You can't act like he hasn't had a chance to make the team his own.

I certainly don't think we will go down this season that is unless DK sacks him now as that in my opinion would guarantee relegation.

Oh do come off it. All due respect, that's nonsense. A new manager is certainly not a guarantee we'll stay up, but neither will it guarantee we go down. It's as if every reason to keep him has been peeled away and you're getting desperate for an excuse to keep supporting him.

If a new manager comes in and gets a bounce, suddenly Brighton look a lot more attractive to potential signings, instead of coming in to a downbeat team that has 2 home wins in the league to their name, they suddenly get to join a team on the up, a team that should push on next year, and if they have personal connections to the manager all the better.

A change of manager does not guarantee relegation, and it's a silly thing to say, Harty.

About time there was a MASSIVE ARS protest.

Losing to team that hadnt kept a clean sheet for SIXTEEN games is pretty shit.

Adams OUT

That pretty much sums it up.

I am sure you won't get an answer because Harty/SCR seem to avoid Chairman attacking questions as they seem to avoid my text week on week, bias springs to mind.

I think we should stick with Micky. A manager needs time to get their own players in and get things to click. It would be suicide to change now. There's a lot of luck in football as well, the same manager/team can be good one season and rubbish the next. A couple of breaks and we'll start a run and be looking at finishing mid-table this season, cracking on next.

If we stick with Mickey this season and go down and the O's stay up coz they got rid of their manager (PROVING its right to get rid) then I am never going again until that idiot Adams and Knight have f***ed off.

Dean F*cking White and Bob F*cking Booker. Oh Lord, give me strength. Nicky Keig-Shove It could manage the Albion better than clueless Adams.

Someone mentioned Ian Chapman; he lives just up the road from me and let me tell you, he is not laughing at the current situation. Quite the opposite in fact as he still loves the Albion. Top bloke.

No disrespect but you like Adams because he is a "one of the lads" type of bloke. That is fair enough but I expect more from a manager, whether football or otherwise. Adams and football in general seems to need to grow up. The white socks, tracksuits, and moronc jokes like the stupidity when Savage joins about sums it up.

Mistakes are one thing but some are "schoolboy errors". He drops Lynch for "his player" who is clearly not as good. Lynch therefore says cheerio, and now plays a division higher. That was more than a mistake, it showed bad judgment and worse - he did not accept he was wrong.

The worst part is that he ripped up a side playing good football, and replaced it with a team that hoof it. The free kicks are dreadful and the side is dreadful.

Yes the Albion was a bg job in terms of building the club up again whilst at Withdean, but tthat is more on the commercial side. The team were 7th, and Adams cannot hide behind the clubs off the field worries.

Having said all that, I'm sorry but it has to be said but Ernest never seems to be happy with anyone. The offensive remarks about the board and Dick Knight that have spent their own money keeping this club alive, is frankly not on and offensive to many.

Should Adams go? Well Adams, and his brand of football is not to my liking, but I don't think we should sack him now. H will save us from relegation, I think. After that however, I would like him to go in the summer, if we can sell the club to someone with a better idea of how to play fast short passing football. Or and this might be a new idea in football, but pull Adams in during the summer, ask him if he still wants to hoof it, and if he says no, then gie him a go again. After all, it takes someone particularly stupid to not learn from their mistakes.

There we go.

oh - Ernest, I don't mean to single you slag people off like you do, then you have to be able to take it as well

Very arrogant Harty. Just because someone agrees with you it does not make them the voice of reason... and I don't even want Adams sacked - well unless someone better shows an interest in the job !

Good post - I am very concerned that the only thing we have heard from the chairman appears to be through the argus - he normally has more to say for himself - Has he realised that we are 4 points from the BOTTOM of the league
