totally agree....paid about £15 to see them last year...i suppose its the cost of hiring the albert hall

The only band I've ever paid to see at the Albert Hall was Renaissance, and tickets for that were £1 each in the gods...

Bunnymen at the Brighton Centre in 1987 - the only gig I've almost passed out at there was so little oxygen in the 'mosh pit' at the front. Just about got out with my life and spent most of the rest of the concert slumped at the back of the hall, Studio Line gel running into my eyes as my McCulloch hairdo collapsed and I continued gasping for oxygen.

Somehow I can't see the Albert Hall being quite the same experience.

I'm reading Julian Cope's auto biography at the moment. Loads of references to the Liverpool scene in those days and a bloody good read that I would definiely recommend. I saw Siouxsie and the banshees at the Albert Hall around 1980 but still remember the acoustics being dreadeful. Things have hopefully improved since then!

Good grief, I was also there.
I remember McCulloch throwing his Rickenbacker across the stage during the first song.
Some bloke shouted "suck my cock"...
McCulloch replies "Sorry, I'm not that way inclined...but you can suck mine if you like!"

Doesn't the Albert Hall suffer from appalling acoustics?
