Ooh - so close. No, his brother Phil, who apparently was destined for great things in cricket and captained England schoolboys ahead of Solanki and Batty. He captained England at football briefly when the armband did the rounds at (I think) the England v Oz friendly a few years back.

Gary only(!) represented his county at cricket.

And their sister represented England at Netball.

By the way, you know we were trying to work out who England are playing in their next few series, in the car coming back from Bournemouth? I am reliably informed that it's West Indies and India here this summer, then we are off to Sri Lanka. Mind you, that came from someone who knows nothing about cricket! Does anyone know where else we are touring next winter?

surely its about time we played south africa again, must be 4 years now. Personally id like to play New Zealand and Bangladesh
