Avoid the Eagle and the Duck.

Heath isn't too bad; Witch is full of small children; Burrell is full of bell ends; Red Lion is ok - or go to Burgess Hill.

ooo, which one?;) :safeway

Seriously though, Haywards Heath seems to be getting a slating on a weekly basis now, is it really that bad?

There's been an influx of (and I hate to sound like Hove B & B here) some pikey people over the last few years. I don't think we had our fair quota so Mr Prescott moved some in!

We used to look down on Burgess Hill. (still do but not so much:lolol: ) Having said that there is also some serious wealth in both towns.

I used to frequent the Heath, full of VERY dodgy blokes (and a few gays)

one local used to have a hook for a hand and would tickle unsespecting punters bums whilst they were playing pool.

go there frank.

:lolol: :lolol: I'll keep my eyes open for Captain Hooks gay twin. Cheers Bristol.
And WW yes it is that bad. I remember playing a gig in the Eagle once, a massive fight broke out and we had to leave the stage crouched behind the bar. Chairs and bottles flying over the bar and smashing against the optics made it feel like the bloody wild west.

It is true, there do seem to be a lot more pikeys and Chavs, but then again that seems to be the case in most places.

Fortunately, there aren't too many of them in Lindfield, but there still seems to be a lot more than there used to be.

Anyway, back on topic, definitely The Witch or the Red Lion gets my vote:)

I always think of Haywards Heath as being full of poofs with crazy hair and ripped jeans. I am from Burgess Hill though.

Sadly, the Common is becoming a Chav hangout in the evenings for those not old enough to drink:nono:

HH has always had a 'chavy' element, nothing has changed except they wear a uniform and so stand out more.
As for the Eagle or as it used to be known 'The Pilgrim', it's always been a locals local pub and rough as f**k.
It's not that HH has got worse it's just that 'people' from Bugs hole have learnt to speak:lolol:

No point going in the 'Duck' as the cliental haven't heard of television, they're still waiting for the Hitler to invade ....

The Pilgrim / Eagle was my local in HH as I lived near there. It wasn't that bad when I used to go in there, although I've not been back since I moved to Brighton in '86.

:D

[BI shall pop along to the United Service Club (also in Wivelsfield road) and watch it on their large screen.

Cheap beer as well! :drink: [/B]

Provided they have sorted out the gas problem as they had no draught beer on Sunday night. I did offer to sort oput the problem for them but they said that under the Health and Safety Laws they couldn't sort it out.

Just read this.

I heard about that BG. No draught beer all night?

If the same thing happens on Saturday I may have to pop home.

I should have a fair supply of beers in over the World cup period! :drink:
