I've reached a point where I'm uncomfortable with wages paid to our players.

I'm not pretending to know how much our players are paid, but I expect a good few of them are on north of £500k per annum. I don't feel comfortable being a part of that.

Granted, it is not up to me to decide who is worth what. I try and avoid lining the pockets of the already rich (posted from a Samsung  ).

I've decided not to spend my cash to fund something that has very little baring on life. Enough is enough.

Out of interest, do you buy or download albums and if so, what sort of music do you like?

8) No, again, we live in a free market. If we want to continue to have the worlds greatest footballers here, it won't happen if there are restrictions to earnings.

The wages are undoubtedly too high, as so many clubs are in debt and that's purely down to wages and transfer fees. As players are always saying how short the career is, so they need the huge sums, I would put half of their wages (possibly more for premiership players) into a retirement fund they cannot touch until 40 or if they are injured out of the game (when they may have a more realistic view on finance and life).

Why would it not be relevant to player wages? You might want to refer back to Thinking for Dummies.

For those who don't own Thinking for Dummies, BOF is referring to the fact that the football clubs are effectively an oligopoly or cartel and are able to force player wages down and not pay them what they would earn in a free market.

It upsets me how many right wing purists we have on this site who want to deprive the workers their fair share of football's revenues in order to fatten the wallets of the fat cat owners. When did NSC stop being a sensible, caring site who cared about the rights of the powerless?

respect your decision BofF but never thought of it like that.

Is it worth £38 PCM for my seat in the south, to spend 2 afternoons having beers, social time with friends/family, and then enjoying my favourite sport watching the club I love? yes easily.
