Play it like tennis.

Return to the middle each time and move left or right accordingly until you've sussed the speed and trajectory of the incoming ball.

The ball should be hit when it's about 1/2 cm from the ground. (should go in the top of the net.

Don't let it bounce.

Don't worry if the keeper saves it, he won't save them all.

I find I'm more likely to score when I'm not standing directly in front of the keeper (however this is at times unavoidable if you want to hit a first time volleY)

I seem to lack consistancy. I will score 40,000 on one go then try again and won't be able to hit a barn door.
Oh well more practice, less work.
