With Barca signing Neymar then Deulofeu's game time opportunities will be curtailed. If he goes on loan to Spurs the same thing might happen. With the Albion he'll get a starting spot under a frmer Barca coach, and should settle with the set up and Spanish players. It's still unlikely but Oscar could make a very good case for him coming here.

Plus he'll play in a system that he's used to.

Wont happen though. Reckon he'll go to Everton. He'll be a starter there.

i agree - spanish manager, plays the right way etc - all the same arguments for him coming to us but for a far better team playing against far better opposition in a higher league. no brainer.

Brighton have been set a deadline of 48 hours to renew the contract of David Lopez ( Spanish Dave ) before his agent opens talks with a number of other interested clubs. Lopez has made it clear that he wishes to remain with Brighton but feels that the time has come to secure his future.

It would be a shame to miss out on a quality player who wants to sign for us.

Given the restrictions imposed on Oscar in talking to the press, there's no suggestion that we are also not actually signing anyone until the Gus appeal ordeal is over is there?

I can't see why, and we have signed El Abd!! Also imagine the Argus would have reported it if that were the case

I imagine we are not announcing any new signings that have come via Oscar's contacts.

I'd think this rumour of one in from Chelsea is one they could get away with announcing.

A few whispers coming out of a few different sources at Brighton over the weekend. Shorey will sign, bridcutt will stay, Brighton turned down offer from reading for ulloa, ignacio cases coming in on loan, work in progress on loan signing of deolofeu and Nathan ake. Back up plans in place should a 4million pound plus offer be made for ulloa with the signing of jermaine Beckford in the pan

I wonder which NSC member posts all this guff on there.

Quality copying stuff from NSC there. Jermaine Beckford would not be an adequate replacement for the big Argie.
