After this week's revelations, anyone connected with Crystal Palace, including some that I had quite liked, such as Ian Holloway...

Holloway used to have a kind of rustic charm about him but the recent revelations of the club " sitting " on Poo-gate has shown him up to have a lack of honesty. Shame on him, as Edna posted, he could have come out which would have avoided all the controversy.

I may be the only person in the world who thinks this way but I quite like Roy Keane. While so many players these days are lining up to have a pop at the ordinary fans (see Neville and Carra sniping about Villa's attendance on Sky) Roy knew the corporate nobs were messing up United and he didn't mind saying so. Sort of player you'd have loved on your team and hated to play against, an aggressive and spiteful f***er to be sure but never gave less than 100%. I'd take him all day long over the likes of Nile Ranger or Agustien.

Football managers are split personalities. The man under pressure on the touchline does and shouts things that you can't imagine they're capable of when you meet them away from that pressure. Warnock and Pardew are extreme examples. Of all the managers, Pardew comes across as the most normal, and I'm not the only person who says so. He's not putting on a permanent act like some (unless he's acting the part of a reasonable human being, in which case he deserves an Oscar). Adkins is insufferable on TV and in post-match press conferences. But in more relaxed situations such as a chat at the training ground, he's okay.

James Beattie is a tosser, though. As he was as a player.
