25 years ago there was a big 2. Man U and Arsenal. Then a big 3 evolved when Chelski bought a seat at the table. Then Citeh got involved and all of a sudden there was a big 4. Tottingham had a good couple of seasons, and then there was talk of the big 5, and in the last 3 seasons Liverpool have had a bit of a charge, creating a big 6. Listening to media over the last season or so, it appears there is a big 7 spot available......and Everton appear to be one of the favourites to secure a big "7" tag.

Point being, football goes in cycles - ask Preston North End. If you stop the world now and get off, you will miss what makes football the game it is. Form a supper league if you must, but it must not be closed shop. As a club, we have missed the gravy train on so many occasions, and now we are there it appears it will jump another step ahead of us

Don’t worry let them go. The other 85/86 clubs in the league will all massively benefit. Maybe not financially but in terms of silverware, it will be far less of a closed shop.

Personally I think these big 11 clubs have delusions of grandeur, the money is only generated by the likes of Sky and BT if they generate enough custom/new custom for their products. Personally I don’t buy the idea of people flocking to the pub to watch PSG versus Bayern Munich.
Granted there are some limited interest live TV games on Sky now, I.e. Southampton v Burnley, but people still watch as they feel it affects them, as it has a part in our league - generate a European based Super League and I don’t think that feeling of belonging is there

If Spurs don't get in they will still find a way to win nothing under the new league system...Probably pipped to the title by Everton

If the big clubs want to go then fxxk em, but it should be made plain and simple to them, you ain't coming back. I am a staunch remainer as far as Brexit goes, but a Little Englander for footy.

Apparently Fantino has now come out and said that any player involved in any Euro Super League would be ineligible from playing at a World Cup. If one of the main points of a World Cup is to show the best players then it'll be a case of cutting off the nose to spite the face...

People want their country to win , if England won the World Cup it wouldn't matter who was playing

true. its about the only weapon FIFA/UEFA have. they cant legally stop any break-away leagues forming, only set rules around eligibility for their tournaments.
