Back in East Sussex
And every match "Is there a fire drill?" at 89 minutes. That is for when we are five nil up with 30 minutes to go, not when everyone leaves normally at the normal time.

All I hope is that at some point there really is a fire drill and then we can sing it. But it might be a bit tasteless then.

Does Sheffield Utd away last season count? 3-0 up at 75 minutes

One of the matches earlier in the season there was no VAR for a while because there was a fire alarm at Stockley Park, and NOBODY sang it

Yep.

Most cringe-worthy is 'You've seen the Albion now eff off home...'. Bad enough being subjected to it by Citeh or United fans.

Chatting with Norwich fans after the Cup game they enjoyed the spontaneous BHA songs, especially the 'We want our ball back' routine etc which they eventually joined in with. Ironic gallows humour, when the game was lost for them. But they also winced at the 'You've seen the Albion now eff off home...'. In their words: Don't stoop to that level, you're better than that. True.

A little bit of wit or humour in the moment such as 'Christian Walton, he's one of our own...' was amusing and appreciated by Tractor fans too.
The fans behind the goal were mostly pissing themselves laughing at that…….

Yes some of the chants are getting a bit tedious, but at Ipswich I confess having a chuckle at the “ have you ever seen your dick” chant, aimed at a somewhat overweight Ipswich fan - though he brought it on himself, I started to feel a bit sorry for him at the end.

Absolute nonsense this. Ipswich fans singing all first half, pretty much non stop. Que a rendition of "football in a library" moronically coming from our fans in the away end.

Was the same at Norwich on Saturday too. 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

Singing 'Is there a fire drill' at Norwich when almost the entire home fan-base were there on the final whistle was a bit bizarre.

Although in fairness there is unlikely to be fire drill in the 89th minute of a match.

I thought the “we forgot you were there” at Ipswich was brilliantly appropriate when Ipswich got into our penalty box one time totally against the run of play and after our 80% spell of possession.

Worst cringe for me was ‘Norwich is a shlthole I wanna go home” and “Ipswich is a shltehole I wanna go home” - just wrong - both lovely cities and both two stadiums I have visited consecutively this month that engendered a sense of nostalgia for the Goldstone days - going to watch football in a small, community based stadium where the fans were mostly local and dedicated to their club (and right next to a decent sized railway station too ) surrounded by decent pubs and cafes - Ironic that Norwich and Ipswich fans are great rivals but I really loved the atmosphere of both. Maybe I’m just getting old.

Why not? Does the threat of fire go away when the ref's watch goes past 80 minutes?
