My son's grown up in Sheffield so he's obviously always been the only Brighton fan at his school. I've had to impress on him that he was basically born at the PERFECT time as we've been on the up since he was old enough to really "get" football / rivalries etc (he's10).
The kids at his school are often pretty knowledgeable about football and as they're mainly United or Wednesday , they aren't so Premier League obsessed (there is the odd glory seeker but they are in the minority). So he's not had to endure the "who are Brighton?" stuff like a lot of other kids have but he did have to deal with the playoffs last season.
He's been particularly enjoying dishing it out to his Wednesday supporting mates recently mind.
Oh and there is also a Palace fan in his class. What are the chances?
