The average shut down time for a chippy in Worthing is 9.30pm nowdays, kebabs/burger places much later but in my day it was standard to have a sausage and chips on the way home from the pub about 10-10-30 ish.
I'm sure i got a dominos at like half 1 once am

It really isn't as good as a bag of heavily salted and vinegared chips at 10.30 on a frosty walk home.... trust me !

Do you think the pint of Harvey’s tastes as nice in plastic at the Amex?
I no longer drink but I could never get on with drinking Harvey’s at the Amex after having a pint served in a glass in a pub.

Beer always tastes better in a glass/ pewter tankard, but we aren't going to get those at the Amex! I'll tolerate plastic or paper card cups rather than not have beer available.

But the biggest issue on taste is freshness of the ale and have the pipes been cleaned out properly. I'd rather have good beer from clean pipes in plastic than stale from dirty pipes. I'm sure some pints that are 'a bit off' are due to poor cleaning and old beer. This happens in pubs, but more likely at sporting venues where the trade is sporadic.

Harveys also like a nice cool cellar, which is why it tastes better in old school pubs which have these.
