Texan? everyone goes on about but FFS it was 'orrible, on a warm day you might as well be biting into a 5" Hubba Bubba covered in melted chocolate and on a cold day you'd break yer teeth on the inner bit and the choc would just crack into pieces and fall on the ground (usually outside Morris's on Moulsecoomb way)

Anyone remember the chocolate covered pretzels? The white ones were amazing.

Lord Toffingham ice cream bars. gorgeous. Wrapper complete with picture of what looks like George Osborne in weekend attire. Also Country Style chocolate bars; not great to ask for in a shop when you have a bit of a stammer, like I did when I was a child. Top of my list would have been the sublime Golden Wonder Sausage and Tomato crisp but now they are back, though not too easy to find.

Milk Gums

Can't recall who made them - migth have been Maynards. Not at all the same as Milk Bottles you get nowadays. Were round (about the size of a toffo but not individually wrapped) and wrapped in a clear cellophane wrapper. Got about 10 in a packet. Completely addictive. Great shame they no longer seem to be about.

I had the biggest spack-attack ever, on Tresco, when I wasn't allowed a Lord Toffingham.

Some say it was unbecoming of a 25 year old.
