The forecast conditions aren't quite as 'safe' as they looked yesterday. There will be fog in places tonight. We have to hope that Falmer and particularly the stadium site aren't prone to advection fog.

Sea fret? Never really ever knew what that actually was, apart from it resembles fog, can be pretty thick, and rolls in off the sea.

Advection Fog. Forms when quite warm, moist and stable air is blown across a cooler surface (land or water). The air temperature falls until the dew point is reached and condensation occurs.

Seeing as I work in Falmer I can confirm it is a sunny day out there right now. Looks like a crisp early spring day.

Sea Fret / Haar are both forms of sea fog.. The sort of stuff we get in early summer, as warm air passes over the still cold Channel waters. Anything at the moment won't be sea fog as the temps are the wrong way round.

Yes, this. This is what we had on the fateful day in Middlesbrough in May and nothing like what we may have today.

Can't get to many games (probably only another couple this season) so don't have much choice but to go and hope. Coming down from Reading. Last time game was called off just as we arrived at ground. Only bright spot was my daughter getting a picture with Bruno as players left. Got a feeling it might be a repeat tonight (although will try to get photo with Knocky).
