I can report that there is a large number of flying ants in Saundersfoot, Pembrokeshire. Was watching a Sparrow gauging it's self on the insects down by the harbor.

Do they appear when there is a certain light level? The last two times it's happened the north seems to get them first where it gets dark earlier.

The little blighters have made a comeback in Southwick. I was quite impressed by the regular ants using a fault/crack in the pavement as a thoroughfare. The birds are having a field day in North Southwick.
