I don't know to laugh or swear.

I would have loved to see what Locadia, Hemed and Andone could have achieved under Potter.

So the wankpuffins have the road decide to extend the contracts of misfiring strikers whereas we ship 'em out in double quick time. Clueless v ruthless.

No comments of thanks to brighton on his departure. Glad he’s gone tbh. The risk is an injury to our strikers then we are screwed. 15 games to scrape through then, you’d hope we will bring someone in. I’d actually prefer to bring in a similar player to trossard though, then 3 strikers is enough.

unrelated coincidences

GP described as an "excellent fit" for our long term aims

GP making room in squad to bring through young players

we just happen to have around 20 such young players out on loan all at various stages of development or "process" as GP would say

am sure this was never mentioned at interview at all :)

Are you in or out - get to the point

Erm trossard is far more dangerous and more of a team player. Knockaert i don’t miss at all. Super sub at best.

Erm that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be part of the squad.

Not the real one
This can be dressed up as freeing up space for youngsters to come through. However the real truth is, that Andone had been sent off twice for the same offence and the club wanted to ship out after the Southampton game. I disagree with this way of thinking, that a sending off and you are out of the club. It’s numbers we need, now just having three strikers one of which is an under 23 player, is just not enough for a Premier League team I fear.

So you have made up a reason for his departure and then stated you disagree with it? ???

I think Andone did a massive dump in Potter's office and had to be escorted from the building by security. On that basis I agree with his sacking. Fact.

Great decision and one that further strengthens my belief in Graham. He knows exactly who will and won’t fit in with his BHAFC, both on and off the pitch. I’m actually much more confident in a manager who is prepared to make big decisions to fulfil his vision over one who would seek to take the easy option.

We have more than enough attacking options to get us through 15 games until the window opens again.

I’d agree if we lived in a world where injuries don’t exist.

Sadly they do and if we get 1 or 2 to the wrong players we are now totally ****ed. It’s a gamble.

So if he comes back next month and gets sent off again that's OK then?

The gamble is keeping a player the manager doesn’t trust, might be disruptive, can’t control himself. If Maupay and Murray both get injured I’d still rather Connolly come in.

In terms of Locadia I’d rather Dunk went up front and we played Burn, Duffy and Webster at the back!!

Man City seem to manage pretty well with only Aguero and Jesus. So three who can play the central role should be fine with plenty of options for the wide roles.

This is your assumption - Andone is not one of Potter’s signings and who knows what the reasons for his departure are. Sendings off probably contributed but perhaps Potter has seen other problems with him in training or getting him to play Potterball, and better things in the under 23s that he can work with.
At last we have a manager willing to give youth a chance. I am all for it, even if we struggle to start with. I’m pretty convinced so far that we have got good things to look forward to.

Quite the risk. Whilst inconsistent, I think Andone has shown enough glimpses of his talent (Palace, Hudders home/away) to warrant staying in the squad. A bit odd that he was chosen ahead of Murray for the Southampton game, and then a week or so later he is shipped out on loan. Maybe something has happened since the red card, or perhaps Potter was giving him his chance against Saints and he blew it?
This.. I think this is more about what Andone wanted, and we chose not to keep someone who didn't want to be here. Seems odd that he brought him on at Watford and scored a lovely finish. Then trusts him to start against stains.

Agreed. Graham seems like a man who is very focused on the wellbeing of the group, team spirit, making everyone feel as good as they can etc. Any player who doesn’t fit into that environment has to go for the benefit of everyone else, it doesn’t matter who they are.

It may sound ridiculous, but I’m going to go with backing one of England’s brightest young managers who has seen these players train, play and interact with each other every day for the last three months.

Just over a week ago, having interacted with Andone for three months, he put his trust in him to start in a vital game against Southampton. Two weeks before that he also trusted him to come off the bench to influence out season opener. In that same game, he put Jurgen Locadia into his starting XI in the first game of his Albion tenure.
