I’m guessing both Locadia and Andone refused to play Widow Twanky in the upcoming production planned for the international break next week

Potter clearly has no qualms about developing young talent and I'm sure this is why Bloom was so keen to have him installed as manager. On the face of it, we seem to be short of strikers but I reckon Bloom, Potter, Ashworth et al have a pretty good idea what they're doing.

The coincidence of Knocky also being moved out in somewhat mysterious circumstances (man of the match against City at Wembley only a few months ago), seems to point to the notion that the “difficult” players are being axed.

I think most of us would wish we had such a strong structure at the club that we could cope with one or two of them.

Anyway it’s a risk as both these players were ideally suited to this more progressive style everyone is talking about

Yes, agree. Why ship out a player at such short notice. The Knockaert loan I could understand, as we had a replacement with Trossard, but this, if true, looks very knee jerk to me. It leaves us light up front, and just seems an unnecessary gamble to me. If we can't 'manage' a few challenging players then we are really in for a tough season ahead.

Exactly, but never mind as there are only 16 games to go before the transfer window opens, that's only 48 points to throw away.

Connolly as good as Andone in my view. Both fast, run around strikers.

I loved the Andone goal against Palace but will he score more than Connolly given the same game time, I doubt it.

The question was:-

'What does Naomi Campbell look like in the nud-dee?'.

I've got a cracking story about her, told to me by the Ships Captain of a (colossal) Private Yacht. It's not for here, though.... :lolol:

I trust the club on this loan out. Keep the faith everyone! One player can bring down a whole dressing room. If he does that, and he's having such a negative effect, getting rid simply cannot be any worse than keeping him here....

As for the free agents available, I'd like to see us with this guy - just for his name. Our very own "knock-off" Ballon D'Or Winner..... :hilton:

From our resident Potter expert on a previous thread...

100% not happening. Wilfried is a great guy but as a footballer he is unfortunately done and he is only 30 on paper. He also stated as late as earlier today that he will remain in Swansea no matter what club he signs for. He loves the city and got his two oldest kids in the academy. He will not play for Brighton.

Andone is a walking red card and I can't imagine him winning a popularity contest in his own home. He's also a brilliant finisher on his day and quicker than Murray (but, then again, Duffy is probably quicker than Murray) and one annoying little ferret of a player. I'd have hated to play against him.

I've always thought he could have been Romania's answer to Jamie Vardy. That needs careful handling though. If a bloke with a Masters in doing exactly that cannot manage it then youl have to ask yourself why we pursued his signature for a year or longer and why we binned him and Locadia off outside the EPL transfer window. I get that Maupay has replaced one of them and therefore you could argue that Connelly replaces the other but we look weaker now than three weeks ago.

I honestly think that Connelly is ready. Possibly because he is a grafting poacher. It's a more transferable skill.

I was reading about how Keegan made the transition from Scuny to Scouse and thought of how good it would be if he turned out the same.

I'm a glass half empty person but I just get this feeling about him that it's going to turn out really well.

Do it, hyjacking this thread to stories about Campbell being an absolute bitch would be going some even by NSC standards.

Here's a gentle loosener:-
At an awards ceremony she was due to sit on a table with Frank Skinner and X other celebs.
NC insisted they were all moved to accommodate her.
The others were getting up to move but FS refused.

Campbell stormed off.

Was the yacht named the Venus, with her as the figurehead by any chance?

No. From memory (this was about 8-10 years ago) she was invited on as a guest of the owner, who wasn't her boyfriend.. She didn't trash anything either - apart from her nostrils and other parts of her anatomy.
