According to Transfermarkt (no idea how reliable that is, but lots of people seem to use/quote it), Andone's agent (or agency) has no other players in England, but quite a lot at top clubs around Europe.

Could it be as simple as the agent being able to work this move to Galatasary, Andone fancying it and asking for it (I would imagine it feels a little more glamorous to a lot of players than Brighton), and the club feeling that it's not worth saying no and having a player who doesn't want to be here (perhaps combined with the fact there are question marks over his attitude in general)? I can't imagine there was some sort of master plan to offload Andone so late, or that one red card (as ridiculous as it was) has prompted such a strong reaction from the club. Equally it doesn't seem that likely that Connolly has totally changed Potter's mindset in the last few days.

From my perspective this appears to rash, foolish even. All I can think is that something has happened behind the scenes. Andone has gone from opening day scorer to surplus to requirements in 3 games, it has to be more than just the Red card IMO. Time will tell I guess but January cannot come quick enough....

I would be amazed if Connolly is yet ready for the PL.

As of last Saturday, he's already in it.

Exactly. And learning from the likes of Murray everyday, not to mention being on the same pitch as the likes of Aguero. Very few young players are simply ‘ready’, they learn, but they can only do that if they’re given a go.

An utterly bizarre decision IMHO

Andone and Locadia out and we still have Jahanbaksh

Utterly bizarre

In respect of Jahanbakhsh - you cannot just force a player to go out on loan. They have to agree to it. You may even have to give them a bit of a sweetner to accept a deal. We may well have tried to convince AJ it would be better for his career if he did, but he refused and demanded he stayed.

This is the move that many of us were hoping for...A player who isn't expected to be a regular started moved on to make way for the young talent we have! I personally am gutted as Andone is mustard in Championship Manager

Beautifully set up by Maupay on Saturday too. I'm quietly optimistic. I think that great team spirit is worth more than a couple of goals over a whole season.

After a few more games Trossard will be tucking them in. He won't make the same mistake of taking too long in the penalty area. He will learn quickly. Yes Maupay will be useful also, just needs a little time.

Did Potter have any say in Knockaert,Locadia, and Andone leaving.Maybe he was told when taken on that some experienced players have to go and must give some Academy players a chance. All 3 players were under contract and find it hard to believe that Potter would be telling Bloom he wants them all out.

He’s also got a great attitude it seems.
Ali J will get a chance now- we’ve seen how ruthless Potter can be now, so it’s up to him to show us something.
