Yes still for me in top three best ever Albion goals I've seen.

I know the guys cards have been marked for some time but can't believe we let him go as a free agent just two days after we fielded a side with no recognised striker. Considering Andone was in the squad first game but didn't play too

I'm guessing the injuries have ruined him.
If it was just hius attitude, I don't think he would have been kept around the group for so long.

? Personally I think we need a player like him in the team

We tried to off-load him constantly, from the moment Hughton left.

It wasn’t because he was a good fit with the squad, and that was before he and Bernardo fell out.

Great goal vs Palace.

But not the answer. Basically, couldn’t be trusted…..

He's signed for Las Palmas in Spain's second tier. They made the play-offs last season and have started this season unbeaten, yet to concede a goal. So he could yet end up back in Spain's top flight.

Great goal against Palace but one swallow doesn't make a summer. A crocked, unreliable nut job disruptive to team spirit seems a fair assessment!

Game-winning goals home and away against a relegation rival in Huddersfield were pretty important too. I agree apparent character doesn't make him a fit for the club. But that goal against Palace has bought him a lot of goodwill in my book.

Shame it didn't work out. He was one of those players who bought about a buzz in the crowd when he got the ball - never knew quite what was going to happen. But that goal against Palace will be replayed for decades.

Yet another Albion forward shipped out when they shouldn't 'of' been. Think Murray to Palace, Barnes to Burnley, Ulloa to Leicester. Add to that shameful list: Andone following Southampton red card. As always in recent seasons, the Albion far too keen to ship out the guys that could 'of' got us the goals. It's pretty deranged that that idiotic blind spot still seems to persist with the shipping out of Maupay and seeming reluctance to give Undav a fair runout. What GIVES? ???

Youre judging on ability alone. Dont recall anyone ever saying Andone was shite or not a good enough player, but clearly a headcase and if that spoils the equilibrium in the changing room or causes any sort of rifts between players and/or management (which he seemed to do with his comments), then doesnt ,matter how good a player he was, you cant carry a disruptive influence.

Ulloa moved to a club up the food chain when we were chamionship, Barnes wanted the Burnley move. Those 2 were purely footballing reasons.

More than one of the more recent arrivals have had good things to say about the influence of Andone. GP appears to bear him little or no ill will. That red card? How on earth is the guy supposed to go into the game in a good state of mind when Bernardo's done that stupid f*ck assault on him from behind as he's walking out onto the pitch. Hope Florin beat the shit out of him back in the dressing room. At least Andone's aggression was naked and would maybe bully an opponent a bit, maybe make them think twice about taking him on. Whereas Maupay was more of a snidey wind-up merchant

I think it's unfair to call him a headcase, his game was very much about putting pressure on and harassing defenders but occasionally he took it too far. Everyone loves a player like that in the squad as long as they can work out where the acceptable line is.
The Bernado incident was just a freak accident.

IMHO Paul Hayward was a bit naughty with his phone box tweet, it was a personal opinion which clearly hasn't helped Andone's reputation. There's pictures of Andone hanging out with other players so he obviously had mates in the squad.

Falling out over an accidental kick in the arse and a red card. Clearly also the injuries when loaned out but it's humbling to think on what small events can derail a career.

This. I'd love to think the player can salvage a few good remaining years out of a short career derailed through a series of unfortunate accidents. Will be watching his progress and cheering him on from the sidelines. Oh, and bouncing this thread in an Ashley Barnes stylee every time he scores, just to piss off the haters

Whatever anyone thinks of his ability or attitude on the pitch, off it I am not sure where the evidence of him being a disruptive influence around the club is. Most of the players seem to talk highly of him (including helping them settle in) and has been in photos socialising with squad members as well
