He was well known for his success in 'proper football'.
Not by me it seems only by 'experts'.

He was unknopwn when he went to Bayer Lev erkusen and the transfer to Spurs In relative terms was cheap. Being the most expensive player from Bulgaria is totally immaterial.
You couldn't make it up.
A couple of weeks ago, for the first and only time, a poster on NSC called himself a football expert.
Now he's using it as a derogatory term to those of us who once again point out he knows nothing.
This one's got to really burn as it involves his beloved Spurs.
Still it's good to get an admission of being very wrong... ...oh wait!
#NeverWrong.
Eh? How was that relatively cheap at the time
What's the point when you know everything and by your own admission you are...If only there was some sort of information network available on computers and omsung phines, that allowed you to look stuff up and check facts before you made a comment. That might help.
[emoji38]I must admit I didnt think that Tottenham paid so much for Berbatov and as I only take an interest in proper football not FIFA 2009 or whatever it was I wouldnt have had much knowledge of him but there you go.

He was perfectly well known in 'proper football' too.
Probably best to just do yourself a favour and admit that you've got it wrong on all counts with this one.
To you, perhaps.I had never heard of him so to me he was unknown.
especially as I think that we invented football so it is nothing outside of the shores of Great Britain so do not take any interfest in that. be it Spain Germany or anywhere else.
I take no interest in any football that doesnt involve an English club or UK country team.
