I would be careful with those, some of the car hire firms don't reconise them - If you do damage to the car they will charge you still
That particular firm is recommended by the Consumers Association, Which?

The car hire firm doesn't have to recognise it.
Usually you will only be liable for the insurance excess on any damage to your car, this varies but is not usually more than £5,000. The insurance covers the excess so the car hire company charges you for the damage (up to the excess) and then you claim it back from the insurer. You may have to jump through a few hoops - eg providing police reoports where appropriate - so worth having a look at the ts&cs before you leave but otherwise this is the best way to get complete cover.
The other thing is when you do theme parks you spend less.
Personal view is Disney Waterparks far better than Wet'n'Wild/QUOTE]

Wet'n'wild is/was awesome. Forget that it is old, the rides are brilliant. Much better than Atlantis, love typhoon lagoon though. I haven't been for 5 or more years so this may be very out of date or wrong..The other thing is when you do theme parks you spend less.

If you only want the rides then Wet N Wild is great. If you are looking to spend a day at a water park then the Disney offerings are much more attractive as there are things to see and do as well as the rides and also the areas for sitting around and swimming are nicer.

Was still there when I was last in Orlando (December last year). However, was probably never going to last as soon as Universal opened their huge new water park across the road.
Interesting this thread has appeared now, we've just booked virgin flights to Miami in September for £388. aiming to bum around in southern Florida and the Keys for a week. Any suggestions?

We're off next year, and intrigued by the staying one night at Universal tip. I guess you're able to check in really early to take advantage of the first day's Express pass?
Exactly that. Checkin at 7am and leave your bag (maybe just an overnight bag) with bell services.
You'll be given your room keys which will enable you to get your express passes from the express pass machines in the hotel lobby.
Go and do a park (or both :depending on your ticket). Go back to your hotel at the end of the day, or even midway through the day for a chill and swim, and return to the parks in the evening.
Go back to the parks on day 2 until you're done and then head back to wherever else you're staying.
We did a last-minute 3 week trip in August including 4 nights at Universal. Volcano Bay is great fun.
