BBC News - Andrew Flintoff in Burnley Twitter row

I wish people would man the hell up and stop getting offended over the silliest of things.

Freddie Flintoff caught by Twitter slips - Telegraph

Burnley Councillor Jeff Sumner, who as Executive Member for Customer Access and Community Engagement oversees disability issues, demanded an apology from the former cricketer.

He said: "These comments set back the equality issue and add to the idea that it's ok to criticise people for physical difference.

"We should have an apology from Mr Flintoff for disabled people, not just for those in Burnley but for every disabled person in the country."

Complete non-story... some people have nothing better to do.

I did like the last line in the article though:

"Burnley residents are not innocent of discriminatory language. Last October factory boss Steve Wellens nicknamed a wheelchair user "Ironside" and was ordered to pay him £6,000." :lolol:

These twitter stories seem to come out everyday now, seems rather childish that people get up so in arms about every little comment nowadays.
