Great to see he's still riling his base and putting the blame on the nasty EU.

The European Union failed to take the same precautions and restrict travel from China and other hotspots. As a result, a large number of new clusters in the United States were seeded by travellers from Europe

Or a 30k packed football stadium ? Rammed park and ride, trains etc ?

Not sure what your question is but a cruise ship is much worse IMO - no way to escape - their record with contagious infections is pretty bad relative to other situations. P&R/trains also potentially bad but I don't use either so won't be catching/passing anything on there. In the ground, less so - reasonable distance between people, and outside. FWIW I think all games will be off anyway...............

The point i was making which i thought was obvious is that cruise ships hold around 3k - 6k people ? who are confined to one area. Obviously you are more likely to catch something when confined in a small space for a length of time.

Football stadiums for big clubs hold many many thousands in a small area also. You are not just confined to a ship. People need to get to and from a ground risking spreading the virus further.

3 days ago IranAir suspended flights into Europe from Iran for unknown reasons.
Today they've decided to cancel the suspensions and are starting flights from Tehran again into
Amsterdam Schiphol
Cologne/Bonn
Frankfurt
Hamburg Helmut Schmidt
London Heathrow
Milan Malpensa
Paris CDG
https://simpleflying.com/iran-air-resumes-europe-flights/

Considering their uselessness in containing/dealing with their virus infected populace and their position in the world virus charts how is this allowed to happen?
I think flights from Italy to the UK are being suspended or are on stop already. How come we're happy to accept Iranian flights.

I have a vague and unfounded theory that it has to do with money, oil and oilmoney.

It's a "foreign virus" too, don't forget.

The Americans are hypocrites when it comes to the spreading of Viruses.

They were responsible for the large part but not totally of spreading HIV and AIDS around the World.

Then what did they do further down the line. For the best part of 20 years. They banned anyone with HIV entering their country.

Instead of alienation of viruses such as lepracy and everything that has followed since then. We all need to work together in finding a solution instead of demonising people and nations we need to pull all resources to find cures.

And this virus is no different from anything that has gone before.

I read an account recently of Nancy and Ronald Reagan's actions during the HIV 80s. It is quite astonishing. And their govt, not the people, has been no better than a tin pot banana republic for the past 3 and a half years so nothing about the last couple of months is surprising. I watched their president's presser today and honestly, there are going to be whole thick chapters in future history books devoted to the utter inadequacy of him and how he was enabled. It'd all make for a preposterously implausible film plot.

The lack of responses to your post and my post is deafening.

I repeat . They are hypocrites.

It's like Britain during the Iraq war.

And don't get me wrong. I am so pro Labour it is unreal. But Tony Blair said "Of course there will be civilian casualties but we believe that this is a price worth paying"

As soon as he said that. I cancelled my Labour Party membership and didn't renew until Jeremy Corbyn became Leader.

Would Tony Blair or any Leader have said as much if their son or daughter was the first cauauty ?

Every life on this earth is worth fighting for. And no one has the right to decide whether Western lives are more important than those in the Middle East.

One thing is for sure. What this virus has tought is. We are all Equal in life and we can't hide behind an invisible screen of wealth and privilege.

I think he will will reverse this.

I think he will be under unreal pressure from Business/Airlines/cities - how much money will Vegas lose?

There are so many US/UK business connections, there are a phenomenal number of daily flights from the UK to the USA and they tend to fly pretty full in normal times...or rather there were and they did

3/4s of American Airlines international flights grounded and the Foreign Office recommending people not to travel to Spain.

I can see a large number of airlines going to the wall over the next month or so, the travel business is effectively fecked

All arrivals into Oz from overseas will have to self isolate for 14 days as of 1pm GMT on Sunday Mar 15. Arse!

What bothers me about this is just how many people will totally flout these instructions worldwide. Dare I say it will be the majority? There are so many inconsiderate and selfish people, just look at the panic buying going on for irrefutable evidence.

Only time I flew to US in a less than full plane was on a July 4 one year - plenty of room to stretch across several seats.
