Well parliamentary petitions, if they have gained the correct number of signatures, have to be debated. But in this instance I do not think it will make a difference. However I feel about this action by the club, I believe they read much of what's on here and maybe I'm naive, but I also think they listen. Unfortunately, I don't see any about turn but I am hoping for a compromise with the use of plastic instead of metal.

Barber has a letter in the Argus today defending his position. This appears to be “others are doing it, so we are”. He has given no other explanation or comparisons with any other objects that may or may not constitute a security risk. Nor did he mention that he sells them in the club shop.

Newcastle, Huddersfield - Possibly banned.

Newcastle don't allow "large amounts of food", Huddersfield banned them from a recent pop concert and rugby but can't find reference to football.

Generic league advice "portable container and which could cause damage or personal injury or simply banning bottles" or just banning "bottles". No specific mention of flasks.

Outside of the league I did find Blackburn have a no bottle policy but specifically allow flasks.
