[Albion] Flares / Blue & White smoke when we score

Christ on a bike. We win a game, away from home, we score....twice, against one of the "big six" and yet people STILL find things to moan about!

I don’t get it. The stewards quickly identified the alleged culprit, now they will get banned…..

The smoke then blew back towards us, all very unimpressive……

Get a life man! I love the flares, gives us a bit of grit and edge and some great photo opportunities.

You could furiously email Barber and DEMAND the culprit gets hung drawn and quartered.

And then moan about the atmosphere at home games when it’s full of old farts as the younger generation have all been banned.

At least my mother only applauds our goals now. The first game I took her too was Boro at home. She clapped their goal. She was surprised at the vehemence of my reaction, and has never done it since.

Well we've not played Boro (at home) for a few years, so I think she's in the clear.

Managed to go wild, throw paper confetti, bog rolls etc for most of my 5 decades supporting Albion all round the country without need for smoke bombs, and the atmosphere was far better than it is generally today. And feel sorry for anyone with asthma who chokes on them, must be a bit scary. You know, not being able to breath properly.

Sit and clap? Are you a new supporter? Not sure we’ve ever done that in the 45+ years I’ve been going…..

Yes, I do get the inclination, but not really the point of the discussion - more why take the risk…..

I suspect not, and likely he’s followed Albion many more years than you. And not just recent ‘glory’ years as the young ‘uns have only known.

And that is why they’re banned. And somewhat selfish. It can be terrifying, why on earth would any reasonable person want to inflict this on a fellow supporter?

I watched the end of the Hertha v Union Berlin game on the train on the way home - they sure know how to do pyrotechnics in Germany!

[As someone else posted elsewhere, yesterday was a great Away Day - even though I'm approaching the dreaded six-oh, it was great to see the younger generation in full voice (despite a few idiots), and the flares added to the atmosphere - I'm not necessarily condoning them, though*]

I quite like the way the blue and white smoke bombs have landed together, very artistic how the smoke has mixed well done lads.

I thought the sky looked quite nice to….being blue and white as well

Sweeping generalisation that everyone who went to football was a hooligan. Personally the only flares I had were from my wardrobe.
