Anyone else more excited about Uruguay v Mexico than England v Slovenia? Flair and cynicism over turgidity and apathy....

Being as I honestly couldn't give a toss about the result between Uruguay and Mexico, I'd have to say no. I am not more excited at the prospect of that fixture.
I see the media-hyped "lets all give England a damn good kicking" bandwagon is predictably having its effect though.

Hmm England or 2 foreign nations, tough one.

I can assure you the media bandwagon here is all about the refereeing when it talks about the World Cup, and not England's efforts so far. Amazingly it took 3 stories about AFL injuries and tribunal hearings this morning before they even mentioned NZ's heroic effort against Italy.
In England however I dread to think of the fever pitch that's been reached already - I've made a point of steering clear of any UK press since the tournament started and just watching the games.

So why are you implying that a group game elsewhere between two other countries is something you're more excited about than England v Slovenia ?

Because he's not English/an ex-pat?

If a draw didn't put both teams through, then it'd probably be a thoroughly enjoyable game. But due to that reason, it'll probably be dull.
