I would have preferred a couple of bigger clubs early doors while players are still knackered from the Euros etc and haven't yet found a groove.

Looking at that fixture list, I felt no sense of fear or foreboding. Looking forward to this season - hope I'm not being over-confident.

I'd forgotten about the fixtures and then last night I had a dream about parking my car at Turf Moor for the first game of the season. In the dream I was looking for a side street where I thought it would be safe as the first one I drove down had no cars parked there. I took that as a 'best not' indicator.

I woke up and low and behold.

I'll take the train.

Your dreams seem really intense. Life on the edge stuff.

What’s it called? Cumbernauld
Those opening 8-10 games are certainly make or break a good start and they could propel us to a top 10 finish start badly and it could well be a long ole season. I’m feeling optimistic and those games against city and Liverpool could be top of the table clashes

The excitement of the fixtures being released just isn't the same since we've been in the PL.

Can't exactly start planning when the match scheduled on Saturday at 3pm could be played on the Friday night, Saturday lunchtime/afternoon/evening, or Sunday lunchtime/afternoon, or Monday evening. And that's assuming they aren't going to have the additional times like 8pm Saturday night or 7pm Sunday next season.

When are the TV picks due to be announced for August?

Can we hope that things are closer to normal and TV won't be interested in Brighton v Watford or Brighton v Everton...?

Guess the TV games (assuming avg 6 matches – Sat 12:30, Sat 17:30, Sun 12:00, Sun 14:00, Sun 16:30, Mon 20:00)

GW 1 – Man Utd v Leeds, Brentford v Arsenal, Spurs v Man City, Watford v Villa, Norwich v Liverpool, Chelsea v Palace
GW 2 – Arsenal v Chelsea, Leeds v Everton, Liverpool v Burnley, Man City v Norwich, Southampton v Man Utd, West Ham v Leicester
GW 3 – Liverpool v Chelsea, Man City v Arsenal, Wolves v Man Utd, Newcastle v Southampton, Spurs v Watford, Villa v Brentford

There's 2 consecutive weekends end Jan/start Feb currently showing no games,

I assume 29th Jan is FA Cup 4, are they doing that mid season break for half the teams again?

If so, does that mean Watford Away could move from w/e of 12th Feb to w/e of 5th Feb?
