So, we still need to rearrange games against Man United, Man City and Newcastle. We currently have seven games in April, so not a lot of room for movement, but the opponents (except Newcastle) have even few opportunities.

Sadly :D, Manchester United currently have to play nine games in April, so expect to hear the sound of tiny, tiny violins coming out of Erik Ten Hag's office very soon.

They have:

02/04 Newcastle A
05/04 Brentford H
08/04 Everton H
13/04 Sevilla H
16/04 Nottingham Forest A
20/04 Sevilla A
23/04* Albion (FA Cup )
27/04 Spurs A
30/04 Villa H

Man City

01/04 Liverpool H
08/04 Southampton A
11/04 FC Bayern H
15/04 Leicester H
19/04 FC Bayern A
22/23/04 Sheffield United (FA Cup)
26/04 Arsenal H
30/04 Fulham A

Newcastle

02/04 Man United H
05/04 West Ham A
08/04 Brentford A
15/04 Villa A
23/04 Tottenham H
27/04 Everton A
30/04 Southampton H

No midweek fixtures in May.

We have:

01/04 Brentford H
04/04 Bournemouth A
08/04 Spurs A
15/04 Chelsea A
23/04* Man United FA Cup
26/04 Nottingham Forest A
29/04 Wolves H

Five away (or "away") games in a month. Good job we're a decent away team. It's safe, therefore, to assume that neither the City nor United home games will be scheduled for April. The only possible slots for the Newcastle fixture in April would be between Spurs and Chelsea or Chelsea and Man United, I think. Either way, it would leave us with six away games in a row.

Newcastle away looking likely to be either 11th or 18th April now. So will be 5 away league games in a row

Bringing this post over from a recent thread...

So these are the fixtures and possible free dates available presuming Man City and Man Utd get through their QF's in Europe. Doesn't give any wiggle room from here on in unless one or both get knocked out in their QF games.

Our 3 re-arranged fixtures will all be in May giving us 7 games each month to finish the season, then our FA Cup Final appearance on 3rd of June!

There's the added complication in May of the Kings Coronation on May 6, and not yet knowing how and whether this will affect football fixtures.

Yep. I can't imagine any London teams will be playing at home that day because of the policing requirements for the Saturday fixture at Westminster Abbey. May also affect other teams, especially in the Home Counties or larger police force areas, if their constabularies have to send resources up to London.

Selfishly I'm very keen for the Everton game to get moved as I'm meant to be working on that Saturday and as it stands, won't be allowed to take the day off.

Our match at Chelsea
liking the look of that man u fixture list , lets hope sevilla kick the shyte out of them and demoralise them , their plane is delayed and they all get food poisoning....
Chelsea have their two games against Real Madrid either side of our fixture at Stamford Bridge, so here's hoping for similar treatment for them

Hopefully the PL will take advantage of the Bank Holiday granted on the Monday instead.

Man Utd beginning of May (Tues 2nd / Wed 3rd)
Man City late May (Tue 23rd / Wed 24th)

Newcastle most likely to be our last game before Wembley (Tue 18th / Wed 19th)

Ben Crellin puts a lot of time into fixtures and is generally right. He's been saying this for at least a month now.

Out of interest playing 4 away games on the trot must equal some kind of record in top flight football but 5 ??

I’m guessing the Newcastle game may well be confirmed this week when the next wave of TV fixtures are concerned. The original game was due to be on BT I think so maybe they’ll choose it again

I did read somewhere that if the match was originally on TV but then postponed, then the rearranged match will also be on TV. Something to do with each team needing to have at least 10 matches on TV so reconfiguring that algorithm is just too complex.
