My train gets into Carlisle at 12:43. Should be a good day !
Return train is booked to leave at 18:49 - is htis enough time to get back from the ground ?

Easily enough Stinkers, there was a very good chippy on the left hand side not far from the station the last time I visited, sweet talk the lass serving and you get a piece of cod the size of a whale. It might be grim oop norf but they do know how to serve good fish and chips.

Flying is better. At least 6 of us on NSC will use some cheap airline outfit as we could have more time in Carlise drinking and less time on the train (drinking).
