A decent song from Marillion's support act on the Misplaced Childhood tour?
I hope you don't get caught as it is the close season on most rivers.
Fishing has seasons? (That might be a stupid question but I know nothing of fishing)

Oh yes, you can't fish the rivers between March 14 and June 16. Many private lakes have different rules though.

I could easily spend a warm summers night on the banks of the Ouse near Southease. Although sunrise can be a bit 'Hound of the Baskervilles'

That's my new thing learnt for the day then. What's the reason behind having seasons, presumably it's something to do with the numbers of fish (and not because they need a break)?
You can fish the Arun up to the old stone bridge at Arundel without a licence. Not sure how far you can go up the Adur but past Bramber I would think.

Lovely photo that - did you take it?
Yes, about 5 in the morning during June a few years back. I walked from Woodingdean to Glynde, starting just before sunrise. I'll post the blog on the Sussex walks thread soon, with a few more pictures. It was a memorable morning where the weather played ball.
