So, have Gus or the Argus inadvertently let slip that the first League game at the Amex will take place on Sunday August 7th? Or was it just an innocent misunderstanding of dates by Gus or a typo by Andy Naylor?

From the Argus ( May3 )

..... Poyet has reiterated his desire to make six or seven new signings in the summer. He refuses to predict how Albion will fare in the Championship until his squad is in place.

He said: "I'll tell you my target on August 6, the day before we start, and then August 31, because a lot will depend on the players we bring in.

Well the current season hasn't even finished yet so I very much doubt anything concrete would have been agreed for next season yet

Sunday would be f***ing shit.

Yeah, I'm sure you'll be sitting there in your seat for the first time, in a packed out Falmer thinking 'this is f***ing shit'.

I don't care when the first match is. Just get me into that stadium!

What is more likely?

Gus has been told when the fixtures for next season are?

OR

Gus got the start of the season wrong by one day in an interview?

I think we all know the answer, sadly it means Gus is not omnipotent.

all I want is a game against someone who struggled a bit in lower table. After ending the Withdean era with a defeat I would hate us to start at the Amex in similar manner and I have a very painful memory of our first home game in the old Division 1 when we were annhialated against Arsenal.

When doesn't matter - just give us a game we can win!

Where exactly in there does it state that our first game will be at the Amex?
