I, like many others, have never set foot on the hallowed ground that is the Goldstone since the last game against Doncaster (Girlfriend did try to drive past it recently but made her turn down before whilst i shut my eyes)

Anyway, i feel like i need to pay my respects when we finally move into the new stadium and here is what i was thinking.

On the morning of the first competitive game of the season we head over there on mass and have a meet up in the car park. We can all go and park up in their spaces and have a wander around and chat to each other, share memories and tokens from the good old days and have a sing song.

Then having impacted on their Saturday sales through restricing customer flow we peacefully file out and head to the game having paid our final respects.

Thoughts.......

Why would i want to go there it is an never ending symbol of everything that is wrong with the human race and the selfishness of people let alone football.

Frankly i find your comment quite surprising and i look forward to the abuse you will get for it.

Me neither. On the occasions I have been a passenger passing the site, i've always looked the other way.

There was talk of a memorial there but it lacked support simply because fans would not got there. I think that, once we are in Falmer, it would be time for some marking of our pressense at the Goldstone.

Wouldn't it be nice if sometihing could be commisioned and unveiled on the morning of our 1st match? Perhaps we could then have a march from the Goldston, via Withdean, to Falmer?

Somebody suggested the Goldstone itself (that's the big stone in Hove Park) should be re-sited outside the new stadium, but I couldn't see that happening.
