First ASHES Test

I wonder if the selectors feel justified in leaving Harmison out yet?

tough one, the ball was spinning when Australia were bowling on day one, so two spinners seems like the right call. Panesar shouldnt be in and done nothing to justify his inclusion apart from appealling when Ponting has hit the ball for a dot ball.

Broad got injured which didnt help. Flintoff wasnt fit enough to bowl long spells, so that leaves Anderson who when he cant swing a ball is ineffective

All the commentators seem to think its not Andersons fault, but the balls fault

I think the pundits have it right they we rely far too heavily on swing.

On days when the ball does not move we are screwed.
It's true, but no surprise. Have you seen our spin bowlers? Swann has his moments but I really cannot see why Panesar was recalled.

Harmison will surely be recalled for the next test match if only because a firing Harmison is a bowler the Aussies might fear.

I'd rather have Onions. I don't think the problem is our reliance on swing, the Aussies were swinging it, we just can't at the moment. And their second-rate spinner got a lot more movement than either of ours has

I don't see what more Harmison could have realistically done in the Lions game.

His pace scares them and he certainly did for the Ponting.

They don't like it up em...
