Used to live on the procession route in Newhaven. Always thought it a shame they stopped doing it.
More to the point, what sort of child spends their unexplained spare money on rockets when there's vodka to be buying? Kids nowadays .

It’s back, a new bonfire society was formed in 2020 and their first procession and bonfire event is on Saturday.

The off licence and corner shops must be pretty strict selling alcohol to young teens, seems though any age can by fireworks.

My collie doesn't give a damn and would chase the fireworks if possible, however my Sproodle absolutely hates them and shakes,pants and tries his best to sit as close as possible to us.

Last year was quieter than previous years for sure. I recokoned it was due to the increased dog ownership through covid.

Here's hoping, I find the fireworks so bloody annoying.

Taking into account NSC’s demographic I’m guessing fireworks will not be very popular. Much self-important snobbery about it affecting one’s sleep no doubt.

In my view, it’s a bit of fun and expected this time of year. Carry on.

Newhaven had their procession and fireworks on Saturday 15th October this year, it was really good, big turnout and amazing firework display.

I'm ***cough*** 50 'ish' and love fireworks - my animals like them considerably less. I'm certainly not of the mind of "dogooders" that want them banned unless for an organised display.

Fireworks are a splendid waste of money so if I have to endure them I relish in watching (and hearing) others hard earned going up in smoke.

The cat is pretty laid back thankfully, when it gets too much she comes in and has a poo.

Well worth the visit, I usually try and go, they do charge admission for this one, the Newhaven bonfire was free.

We got our dog on 4th Nov 2020 just before one of the lockdowns. Next night he sat in the garden watching the fireworks. The NYE and next bonfire nights he was utterly terrified - and he's a working springer so should be OK with bangs ! I suspect they grow into the fear so good luck.

Our Cavoodle (Cockerpoo in the UK I believe) sits and watched them, fascinated.

Mrs T hates them. The animals (etc.). I love them and have a bumper pack in the shed. But I bought it 7 years ago and haven't blown the up yet because (see above).

I will probably have a drunken conflagration this year, if I get the chance.

I have noticed people filming firework displays on their phones, I wonder if they ever watch the video
