Whenever I try and get Firefox running it tells me it cannot find the page because of proxy settings or firewall settings. Can anyone shed any light on this?

Yes, it's probably your proxy settings or firewall settings.

Hope this helps.

Go to tools --->options --->advanced ---> network ---> connection ---> settings. (Assuming you have FF2.0)

What option is selected there?

And if you have the Google Web Accelerator get rid of it or disable it.

What version of FF is it? Can always try uninstalling/reinstalling.

In there it says Configure Proxies To Access The Internet?

Then there are four options - direct connection, auto-detect, manual and automatic?

Are you using IE now? Can't you go into IE and get your settings and copy them over into FF?

Or try the direct connection option in FF?

Not even in IE?

You need to know your proxy address to put in there.
