Seems to be the latest fashion in football these days to have some kind of financial mismanagement.

Rangers, Port Vale, Portsmouth, Kettering are the obvious current strugglers.
Some ominous signs coming from Coventry as well.
Never seen a stadium so empty as when i watched the highlights of Middlesborough's last home game.

Everton also struggling for money . . . They'll be fine i'm sure though.

Perhaps I am too young to remember all the old problems as the only two I remember from the past being my old beloved Wimbledon and the Seagulls.
What other cases of financial problems can you guys remember? Which has been the worst?

Both Sheffied clubs and Wolves have been down to the 4th division and Middlesboro were locked out of their Ayesome Park ground and I think they had to play at Darlo.

Buildin a £5m new stand at Chelsea almost sank them during the kate 70's.

... and, of course, Newport County - who went bankrupt mid-way through the 1988/89 season, only to be re-formed as Newport AFC, to play in the Hellenic League at Moreton-in-Marsh in Gloucestershire (which is further from Newport than Gillingham is from Brighton). Hopefully, they'll be at Wembley in May.
