Final Premier League table predictions

Same advantage that the Chelsea & Leicester had when winning the league the last two years: no Champions League football to worry about. Yes, they're in the Europa, but they'll play the U15 squad in that.

Spurs meanwhile will fail miserably having to play at Wembley (and having signed nobody), and Liverpool are Liverpool.

Arsenal don't have Champions League football to worry about beyond about November, so that's hardly anything new.
The two Manchester clubs and Chelsea will have the top 3 comfortably sewn up, leaving Arsenal / Spurs / Liverpool in a 3-way for 4th. I wouldn't be confident of Arsenal beating both of those

Not sure what Silva has done to be so highly rated. Finished 3rd with Sporting Lisbon (in a 3 club competition), won the League with Olympiacos (they win it every year), then joined Hull in January and got relegated. My mum could've done all that.

Statistical quirks of going unbeaten at home (in the League) for yonkels can happen when you're managing the likes of Olympiacos, who have won something like 10 of the last 11 League titles and 43 overall. He's managed the strongest teams in the weakest leagues, with all the resources and advantages that brings.

OK, you can't lay Hulls relegation at his door as they were a mess from the start of the season. But when he took over in January they were just 3 points from safety, so hardly doomed. They were eventually relegated 6 points adrift of Watford (who lost their last 6 games).

Great coach then. Would you want him at the Amex if CH got poached ? Because I would be bricking it.

Won the Portugese Cup with Sporting. Their first silverware in 7 or 8 years or so.

When he won the league with Olympiakox they won it by 30 points, compared to 12 and 6 points in the seasons directly before and after.

If CH was struck by lightning then we could do a lot worse.

I have little faith in coaches who get their feet under the table of the traditional giants in the league, and maintain their success. Celtic won the SPL by 30 points last season, doesn't make Brendan Rogers Bill Shankley does it.

As for where Hull could've finished if they'd have got 1.33 all season, that would've given them 46 points, level with Bournemouth and Soton. They finished on a -43 GD though (the worst in the divison), so would've had a bit to do to hop over them, who were on -7 and -12 in 8th and 9th. 46 points and 8th spot was still only a mere 6 points above 17th, the last 'safe' spot, so it was a very closely concertinad bottom half last year.

Its not entirely his fault they went down, and they improved marginally, but I would still have Silva very much in the "unproven" bracket when it comes to actually taking on a PROPER challenge.

When he took over Hull, after 20 games they were bottom with just 3 wins. In his 18 games they won six times. With an uninspiring squad.

Quite an interesting read.

NSC has a range of 2nd to 7th place for Spurs among the 26 respondents with the average coming in at 4.75. This is pretty close to out average 4.25 finish over the last eight seasons. If the Wembley effect only costs us 0.5 a place we will/should be fairly happy with that.
