[Albion] Final nail in the coffin for “I can’t get away tickets”

Opportunity cost though isn’t it.......I don’t drink at football, so my ticket costs about the same as your 5/6 pints, and large % of yours is tax you’re paying. Cheers [emoji481][emoji481]
it's been proven that clubs don't need to charge entry into the ground, therefore why bother going when you can watch it on the box ,money for old rope for the clubs = MUGGED OFF

Why go to the pub when you buy beer for less than a quarter of the price than you can at the pub, and you can watch the game for free at home ?

Not strictly true though, it is just the proportion of revenue against other revenue streams. How many teams are making a profit despite charging fans? If the Amex has a match day revenue of say £40 per head including all purchases, each match day sell out is a turnover of probably £1 - 1.5m per game, hardly chicken feed if the revenue over 19 league games is likely to exceed £22m - hardly not needing to charge fans when that exceeds our most expensive player purchase.

Exhibit A in why so many pubs in this country continue to close.

When I don’t got to an away game I always go to a local pub to watch it. I’d much rather be in a packed pub full of Albion fans than on my sofa, even if the beer costs me considerably more.

Fine, but kind of misses the point. PPF doesn't want to go to the game at all because he's not going to be 'mugged off'. I'd rather spend £30 watching a game live, than £30 on beer watching a game in the pub.

That wasn’t your point at all though, and I’m well aware of PPF’s ongoing bollocks on actually going to games (or not)!

Completely agree, due to work i cant make it to the Southampton game. Watching football in your front room, is not a patch on going out to a local pub and chatting about the game with other like minded individuals.

So many? There's only been 4 aways on sale! Watford sold out in the second tier, Liverpool sales were severely affected by the change of kick off time and lack of trains. I was surprised Southampton took so long to sell, although being a week night again and on tv, people know it's a nightmare to get back from.

No idea about City though, thought it would sell a lot better than it has due to a lot of people (me included) missing out last season due to it being moved to midweek.

I can understand people not bothering with City, to be honest. A lot of money to spend on a relatively long journey to watch us, in all likelihood, have about 15% possession and get battered for 90 minutes. Not that appealing really...

Not moaning yet, was just wondering why the tickets aren't selling.

I will be moaning when all the "loyal" fans turn up to the London matches and I can't get tickets after attending 3 out of first 4 away matches.

Only 505 tickets left in the upper tier now, and the match is still a whole month away. Plenty of people I know struggle to organise themselves a week before an event let alone this far in advance. I'd be pretty surprised if most of them don't shift prior to the game.
