Can't see us winning more than 2 to be honest, but think that will be enough with maybe a couple of draws chucked in.

My guess will be that we'll see the lowest points tally yet to survive in the Prem, beating (or lower than) the 34 that West Brom got in 2004 to survive.

We have scored 1 goal per game at 1 point per game, so by your own logic we should score 12 more goals for 12 more points for a total of 38.

Even just in 2021, we’ve scored 8 goals in 10 games for 13 points. So we might expect 10 goals, 15 pts and hitting the 40point mark.

Sorry, should have said going my recent form. The 65 shots = 1 goal etc

So depressing but probably right. We’re like an animal best out of its misery after four such seasons in the PL. Relegate and rejuvenate a la Norwich or Villa perhaps. Of course no guarantees but...?

But equally we ended a run with 4 games, 3 goals, 13 points. Probably a lot less shots than the last 3 or 4 matches.

Glass half full / half empty. My half is that we can repeat the 4 games 13 points at any given moment. The empty half we carry on as we are. It’s all very unsettling - like a pint that you wonder if the landlord has squeezed just 1 too many out of the barrel.

An animal that has never really been in the bottom 3. One that has 40+ points in 2 of its 3 completed seasons. That may well pull away from trouble again this season.

If we’re a wounded animal, then Burnley are along with Newcastle, Palace probably too. Fulham have done the whole promote, relegate, return, scored 5 less than us, won 1 less, not sure how good the theory is?

The home and away element has largely disappeared with the absence of crowds. It is more how we play rather that who we play. Our team has become more technical rather than physical and we have a chance in most games. It is down to us.

Already predicted on another thread, who would of thought we'd be doing all this after we'd left Anfield with 3 points a few weeks ago!??

Sadly our support (on NSC) includes some folk with all the composure of Gunner 'Gloria' Beaumont given a rifle and invited to let Jerry see the glint of his steel.

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
38 points seems very optimistic given out current inability to hit several barn doors.
