Arguably, both Toy Story and The Godfather.

However, both of those films are excellent themselves so I'm not expecting unanimous agreement on either.

Battle Royale 2, possibly? Both are good.

Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey - way more messed up than the original, and more fun.

Kill Bill 2.

i PERSONALLY wouldn't class any film that is part of a trilogy a sequel

BUT THAT'S JUST ME AND MY PEDANTRY
I'd say that it depends on whether it set out to be a trilogy or whether it just happened that three films were made, and I don't think there are many trilogies like that about. In fact the only one I can think of is Lord Of The Rings. I suppose Star Wars, since it pretty much tells one story even though Lucas blatantly made it up as he went along.
How much of a 'trilogy' are The Godfather films, really? Or Die Hard?

I have never seen or have any intention of seeing Star Wars. Is there something wrong with me for having absolutely no interest in this genre of movie, despite the fact that just about very TD and H on the planet has seen at least one of them

Bit like me and the Godfather trilogy - I watched about twenty minutes of the first one and was so bored I switched it off and have never been back.

Just about the same for me, also had to leave the cinema after about 15 minutes during the sequel to The Matrix, what a load of poop

Babe 2 - Pig in the City - A Work of genius. Rich, sumptuous and HUGELY underrated. 8.1

Pretty much every comic book movie where they spent half the first movie explaining their franchise.

Anal Intruders 2 was a far superior film to that of the original.
