anyone catching the Jenny Agutter theme?

No doubt you'll be nominating "Walkabout" in the best foreign film category.

What defines foreign? Walkabout was by a British director. Or does it have to be set in Britain?

brighton, actually
one of my faves has to be The Italian Job - the ORIGINAL,
not same crappy usa knockoff (as per usual).... just wondered
if a UK film started to change history for the sake of a film...

other faves - 4 Weddings - if only for repeated, and artistic,
use of the 'F' word.. the yank bird aint bad on the eyes, either!

nor into LoTR, Harry Potter, etc - too reliant on cgi, to make up
for an overlong, boring script?

does Gladiator count? initial war scene was shot near Gatwick....

and of course, the Carry On series!

Good call Turkey, I forgot Hitchcock :shootself

What about The Lady Vanishes as well? And those early David Lean are top: forgot those too.

BTW, for any Hitchcock fans and for NSCers in London, there's a really good play, Hitchcock Blonde, on in the West End. Highly recommended.

I.D is shit, Reece Dinsdale as a football hooligan!? Wait for "The Football Factory' film adaption of John Kings book with Frank Harper, Danny Dyer, Jamie Forman and Dudley Sutton directed by Nick Love out early next year. It will make ID look like Grange Hill.
