It's my half century this coming season as well, but my first game was either against Shrewsbury or Tranmere. I could check the dates but I won't

Mine too. In Spring (69). It was versus Barrow. South Stand behind the goal. Me age 11 (just), my 11 year old mate and our younger brothers (aged 8). Unaccompanied by adults. And we walked there and back from Portslade. Happy days.

Its too soon for my half century but i will never know when my first game was. All I know is that I was in the west stand terracing with all the kids and that we scored 2 goals that I missed both of. I think we won 2-1 but could be wrong my dad has no clue what game it was
